(More customer reviews)There are only two other reviews for this product here on Amazon.com and very little information out there on the web. To be honest, this product has been unfairly reviewed and I am here to offer insight on what this product really is.
First off, this is a full computer; a touch screen computer yes, but you have a full operating system with all the bells and whistles. If you are buying this as a kitchen computer or television, there are better products out there, but if you are buying this product for what it is--then you will thoroughly enjoy yourself.
I am a college student with three (now four) computers so I know what I am talking about when I say: this is one of the better things I have ever bought. The Windows 7 Home Premium operating system is definitely a step up from the horrendous Windows Vista. It is stable and I have yet to have any issues with it. Let's just say it gets the job done when it comes to be 2 AM Sunday night and I realize I have an essay due in a few hours.
But it is not just a good workhorse of a computer. The touch screen capabilities make it a wonderful media PC--flipping through photos and drawing on Adobe Illustrator with your fingers is just some of the fruits you will enjoy with this PC. On top of that the HDMI port makes it a great HD Television set for those Friday nights where you just want to sit back with friends and play a good xbox video game. I noticed that one of the reviews mentioned that you are unable to switch in and out of the computer display and HDMI input display--that you physically have to unplug the HDMI cable to use your computer again. This man (or woman) must have no knowledge of his computer, with a couple of quick presses on the main panel you can switch in and out of the computer and HDMI display--A nice feature when your looking up last minute strategies before trying to take down your friends in a video game.
Alas, the ASUS EeeTop ET2002T comes with no stylus, but I happen to have quite a few laying around the house. A stylus is quite necessary in the Windows operating system. Even though you can enlarge icons and such, it is sometimes difficult to take your finger to a scroll bar and scroll down (there is no multi-touch or one-finger scroll so this is the only option). Also on this note, there is no touch GUI or similar interface to this EeeTop--unlike the 16** series which offers the recognizable ASUS Easy Mode that first appeared on the original Eee PC.
All in all the ASUS EeeTop ET2002T is a great product if you are buying it for the right intentions. This is no simple kitchen computer and a lot of its features will have gone to waste if you treat it as such. This a high powered computer that is as quite as a sleeping baby. If you are looking for a great little computer with good capabilities and nifty features, this is the product for you.
